We what I'm into this week: 2/17/17

OK, so I'm a few days late with this. It's been a crazy week!

Reading

I'm reading The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer. I wasn't a huge fan of her show at first, but it grew on me after a few years. I love how outspoken she is on issues she cares about, so I was excited to read this book. While it is humourous, it's also surprisingly deep. She examines her relationships with her parents in a way that has taken me years of therapy to even come close to. She's wicked smart and I don't know why I'm continually surprised by this.

Listening

I'm still wading through the Dear Sugar back catalogue. In addition to that I'm also enjoying my Lady Gaga Pandora station. Her super bowl performance was fantastic and it reminded me of some of my favorites from her first two albums. Pop music always lifts my mood, especially hers.

Crafting

I finished the Pokeball hat and restarted the Stitch Sampler shawl. I'll be plugging away on this one for awhile. It's fun and the yarn I'm using is gorgeous! I need to get back into sewing. I haven't used my machines in awhile. Once I get a weekend with less obligations, I'm picking a new sewing project to tackle.

Beauty

I am loving this Sephora Rouge Lip Tint in Magenta. The color is great, it lasts about half the work day before I have to reapply, and even then it's just a touch up. (Which is longer and better than most "long lasting" lip colors I have purchased.) I'm hard on my lip color so a good lip stain is an essential part of my routine. This one is hands down my new favorite. Special thanks to the poor sales girl who ran around trying to help me find just the right shade. I may be a product hoarder but I am a picky one.
